The game encourages team spirit, fosters endurance, manifests discipline, helps to build up character and brings out the quality of leadership. CPS Cricket Academy nurtures the grass-root talent right from an early age to bring out the best young stalwart cricketers. The journey began in 2017 with a great cricket infrastructure. Mr. Ravishankar, Cricketer of the Year, Madras Cricket Club and Director, T S Mahalingam, inaugurated the Academy and addressed the youngsters to aspire to take up the game as their career and enjoy their passion of playing cricket.

Located at Annanagar, the academy offers various advanced and basic courses to different age groups ranging between 6 - 19 years. Under the expertise of Mr. Harrington, MRF Pace Foundation, the academy focuses on all aspects of the game - fielding, batting and bowling. The course focuses on developing fundamental and advanced batting skills, techniques and innovative fielding drills. The academy organises summer training camps and follows modern coaching methods. Today, the team has grown grooming 50 best budding cricketers with a mix of U-16, U-14 & U-11 players. From there, there is no stop for CPS Cricket Academy to participate and bag titles in the state level tournaments including district matches conducted by Thiruvallur District Cricket Association (TDCA). CPS feels elated to have moulded division players and players for TDCA and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association(TNCA). With all cricketing facilities and expert coaching services, the academy is turning out to be the talent mine for the game in the near future to produce nation’s young cricketers.
